Party Recap

Gage turned 8!
He requested an army theme for this party.
Every year we love to go all out, and celebrate our kids with a big party! This year was one of my favorites.

I gathered a mix of vintage pieces to add to a few new items for an authentic feeling army party.

I love to thrift, DIY and buy decor pieces at the dollar store to use. The thrill of the hunt is so much fun.

The MESS HALL sign was a quick and easy DIY. My husband cut a scrap board to size, and I stenciled on the letters. Hung on our IKEA clothing rack with floral wire and hooks.

I try to cater the food to the adult guests. The kids are always too busy to eat anyways! That's what cake and donuts are for!
- Spinach Dip with French Baguette
- Charcuterie Board
- Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
- Veggie platter with antipasto skewers
- Homemade apple pie
- Camo Birthday Cake
- Sprinkled Donuts

Favors this year: Each child received a personalized dog tag and dollar store gun upon arrival, to take home - their service officially began. I purchased the blank dog tags and chains off Amazon. Used a 45% coupon to get the metal stamp letters from Michaels.

The GAGE name letters were also a DIY. Cut the letters from cereal boxes. Tapped them together with duct tape. Spray painted them the colors (orange and silver), then added some sand and distressed them on the concrete.
