Gabriel's Lemon Party (15 yr)

I loved brainstorming and decorating for this simple "Lemon" themed party!
When I asked what flavor cake the birthday boy wanted, he chose "Lemon", thus the Lemon theme was born!
We had a lemon themed Menu as well as about 6 Lemon themed activities (with coordinating prizes)
As always, we encouraged guests to dress in theme colors.

  Lemony White Bean & Potato Soup, Lemon Asparagus Bow Tie Pasta, and Broccoli Apple Salad with Lemon Dressing.

  Lemon-Lime Sherbet Punch, Canned Yellow & Pink Lemonade, Cream Soda, Rootbeer & Water.

• Desserts

  Lemon Brownies, Lemon Sandwich Cookies, Lemon Cake Cookies, Lemon Tarts, Lemon Rice Crispy Treats, and a 4 Layer Lemon Naked Cake

• Activities / Games

  1) "Lemonheads" Game: Draw a face on printed lemon, hang to display, birthday boy picks top 3 favorites/winners 2) "Lemonade stand"; ea can/bottle "costs" 1.50. Must play bean bag toss game and "earn" the payment to get the drink from the lemonade stand. 3) "Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy..for when life gives you lemons...": tub/bucket of water. soak lemon shaped yellow sponge and run across yard to squeeze water into clear pitchers (2 people to a team) 1st team to fill pitcher wins. 4) "Lemon Drop": Each team tosses 30 water balloons to partner/tub and back. team with the most unbroken balloons at end wins. 5) "Lemon Pinata" filled with lemon flavored (or yellow) candy 6) "Lemon Challenge"; 1st three guests to finish eating 3, raw lemon wedges wins!
