Party Recap

We have been itching for the right season and right birthday girl to style this vintage cherries party theme! Well....it is warm in Houston and was the perfect day and setting to bring this concept to life in honor of sweet Gabriella's 2nd birthday party.

Whenever working within an outside venue, and particularly a park, we strive to create a concept that is not only straightforward to set-up, but considers set-up time and outdoor conditions (i.e. wind, heat). Our dessert table was covered in a burlap floor length linen which is perfect for the outdoors; minimal to no impact from wind blowing. To lighten up the heavy base linen, we used this sweet lace table runner. To provide a bit of a backdrop and a pop of color to our table, we used this custom created table easel in fabric we sourced from Minted. We were super excited about the ability to use digitally printed, custom linens in this party!!!

Our cake was super simple, yet elegant. Contrasting teal blue dots to the red were used with a red accent ribbon to tie to the look together. The dessert hits were most definitely the cherry cake balls displayed on green grass mats from Shindigz and the super fun cherry theme cupcakes; cherry limeade and sundaes topped with cherries.

Gabriella's party was mid-morning, so we served mini muffins, fruit and lemonade. Simple, yet all that is needed in a park setting at this time of day. For serving, we found simple, coordinating dessert plates in our teal blue, splurged on custom imprinted foil napkins and offered wooden spoons during cake service.

The seated tables sitting directly behind the dessert table were covered in red gingham tablecloths and for accents, we filled mason jars with white flowers and placed 2 in each rustic wooden crate.

Each party guest was sent home with mini mason jars filled with cherry scented bubble bath, the perfect party favor for small children!
