Into the unknown… Ivy’s 5th Birthday Celebration

Venture if you will, through a giant 3-dimensional balloon castle to an incredible Frozen party just beyond – waiting silently for the excited squeals of 16 children to arrive in celebration of Ivy’s 5th birthday.

And that is just what happened when Pop the Balloon! Children’s Parties & Events arrived to set the stage for one beautiful birthday girl who is absolutely in love with all things Frozen. And it’s not hard to see why with Frozen 2 continuing the story of two sisters, this time on another epic adventure in search of the source of Elsa’s power.

The movie itself provides much in the way of epic scenery that is a complete visual feast for the eye. With so much material to work with, it was important to focus the styling around the moments that captured the magic and beauty of Arendelle, the enchanted forest, and of course Ahtohallan which ultimately provided the main concept for the finale design.

Emerging through the castle, you are immediately greeted with a backdrop that looks just like the a scene from the movie; a cascading icy waterfall, glistening white trees, sparkly drapes and soft whimsical curtains, all matched with a streamer wall, fairy lights and epic balloon garlands that picked up the icy blues, whites and silvers from that snowy setting in Arendelle.

The children’s party table featured the latest offering from Disney’s Frozen 2 partyware with shiny metallics in the plates, souvenir cups and napkins, fun castle party favour bags filled with more of the latest Frozen party favours, mini milk bottles with custom labels and curly blue straws for an added touch of whimsy. But the piece de resistance had to be a show stopping floral display that artfully drew out more of the icy colour scheme, tempered with pops of fushcia pinks and mauves as a gentle nod to Elsa’s sister ‘Anna’.

More stunning flowers were set next to the backdrop with Olaf, pretty white lanterns and a custom sign welcoming Ivy’s guests to her 5th birthday celebration, set on a gorgeous ornate metal stand.

For the desserts, the children were treated to Frozen inspired cakesicles, cupcakes, custom chocolates and snowflake cookies and assorted confectionery, as well as a gorgeous birthday cake that provided the centrepiece to the display plinths; each one set with a silver decal representing the four elements featured in the movie - ‘Air’, ‘Water’, ‘Fire’ and ‘Earth’.
And if the party styling were not breathtaking enough, Pop the Balloon teamed up with Storybook Party Co to create the ultimate entertainment experience for the children with a special guest character appearance by ‘Elsa’ together with Pop the Balloon’s fabulous entertainment that included hunting for Elsa’s ice crystals, pass the parcel, pin the nose on Olaf, snowball throwing competitions, building a snowman and so much more!

The verdict?
This was one party that Ivy and her family will never forget. From the moment they arrived at the Frozen balloon castle created by Keen Creations that completely hid the party beyond its walls from view – they knew they were about to be treated to a party experience like no other.
And isn’t that what creating magical children’s party experiences is all about?
