Party Recap

With a blossom tree, a beautiful sequin backdrop from Light Up Events Melbourne as a backdrop and disco balls hanging from the tree I had fun styling my daughter India’s 13th Floral Disco party. The Ghost table from Luxe Couture Events really added to the modern feel. Showcasing all the desserts and cakes by some of Melbourne’s talented makers. They who worked tirelessly with their creativity in making cakes, cookies and desserts for the event. Melissa from Memories of Mine Photography photographed the whole event.

With pops of neon lights from Electric Confetti which added the sparkle to the backdrop and room and I painted old milk crates gold and Diana in bloom floral design created a beautiful disco install with an incredible floral and disco ball garland which was flush with fresh florals in pinks, she also created all the florals for the table settings which were in disco vases adored with sequin.

2 Sisters Cakes

Elivra and Caroline from 2 Sisters Cakes in Melbourne created a gorgeous floral chocolate mud cake with touches of gold and silver leaf and painted buttercream and added the topper from Tops for Cakes which had a beautiful sparkle they also did gorgeous rock star gold sparkly pink cupcakes, customised star and letter cookies sprinkled with edible gold glitter and chocolate dipped glitter cake pops.

They placed edible gold leaf and silver leaf on the cake and added the sparkle to the India, Star and I cookies. They also added the gold ribbon to the chocolate mud cake pops dipped in white chocolate and added edible glitter to it. The glitter and gold leaf added that sparkle to the event aswell as the florals by Diana from In bloom Floral Design who added florals to the cake.

Frosted by Nicci

Nicci from Frosted by Nicci created the cake which she cleverly matched the invitation from Emma Smith Stationery and on top of the cake the disco balls lit up as they were real disco lights, so Nicci made a cake topper that actually interacted with the event, the lights went from pink to green to lavendar much to the delight of all the girls, her cake was mint, black and white and pink which she handpainted.

Nicci created the roller skate cookies, the I am awesome cookies, the glitter microphone cookies all to match the theme and name cookies all to match the invitation and paperie from Emma from Emma Smith Stationery and also to match the roller skates which Bubz and Co adorned with crystals.

La Manna Patisserie and The Sprinkled Studio

La Manna Patisserie created a beautiful lilac and pink cake with disco ball topper adorned with meringue and Persian fairy floss which perfectly matched the painted lilac cookies with Lets Dance and donuts for the donut wall. I made the donut wall with a sticker from The Sprinkled Studio in gold which I stuck to the board.

The girls did donut decorating with all sorts of candy and Persian fairy floss, the acrylic candy containers were from the lovely Fifi from Luxe Couture Events.

The Girls got “Squad and Glitter Pink headbands for favours”, as well as disco necklaces and confetti poppers. A Let’s Disco Sign was put on the table made from Acrylic and gold by the lovely XoXo design.”
