Flock of Flamazing Flamingos Splash Party

My daughter wanted to celebrate her 11th birthday at the pool with her Flock of Flamazing Flamingos. Instead, she celebrated at an indoor waterpark with more fun features.

INVITATIONS: I ordered black and white striped invitations from Etsy. It was decorated with floral designs, gold dots, gold border with the wording inside, and a flamingo on the side of the border.

ATTIRE: The birthday girl had a photoshoot at the beach! She wore a hot pink, feathered halter top dress adorned with sequins. Her hair was styled in a wet and wavy ponytail with a hot pink studded headband and a hot pink feathery hair accessory. She also wore hot pink sandals with rhinestones. At the party, she wore a two piece black and pink flamingo bikini and a black wrap swim skirt. On her actual birthday, she wore a black t-shirt in pink writing that read Don’t Ruffle My Feathers. It’s My Birthday! She wore the shirt with black shorts and her black Air Force Ones were designed with pink flamingos and pink drip that brightened up when the sun shines on the shoes. She wore her hair in pink and black box braids.
Her sister wore a two piece bikini at the party also. Her top was black with ruffles on the shoulder and the bottom piece was black with pink flamingos. On her big sis’ birthday, she wore a black t-shirt with pink writing, black shorts, and pink and black Jordans. Her shirt read Keep Calm! It’s my FLAMAZING sis’ Birthday! She also wore pink and black braids, but her hair was in corn rows on the side and curled at the bottom.
I wore a one shoulder one-piece flamingo swimsuit at the party. On her birthday, I had on a black t-shirt in pink writing that read 11 FLOCKS Given! I wore black capris and black Nike shoes.
Dad wore black swim shorts at the party. On her birthday, he wore a black t-shirt in pink writing that read This ish is for the BIRDS!

DECORATIONS: The round table was covered with a pink table cover. I placed flamingo dessert plates on top of black round dinner plates and set them on flamingo placemats. Glittered pink forks and spoons were enveloped in black and white striped napkins. I had mini Martinelli's' sparkling drinks in flamingo cups. Flamingo cookies and black and white striped cookies with number 11 in gold were placed around the table.
The black and white striped drip birthday cake with pink flowers was placed in the center of the table on a gold plate, surrounded by pink macarons airbrushed in gold.

The gift table had a black and white tablecloth that matched the photo backdrop. It also had a flamingo pennant banner above it. Some gifts were wrapped in flamingo wrapping paper, a gold bag filled with flamingo tissue paper, a white bag with a flamingo imprinted on the front, a gold box with a pink bow, and a customized shoebox decorated with a FLAMAZING flamingo design, and of course customized flamingo Air Force Ones.

For the photo backdrop, I used a black and white striped tablecloth. I put a flamingo pennant banner at the top so it could drape. Pink, gold, and black balloons, as well as a flamingo mylar balloon, was positioned on the right side of the backdrop.

At the venue, I couldn't do much decorating in the party room. The cake table was decorated similar to how I set up the table at home. There was an inflatable chair in the corner of the party room. I had the birthday girl to sit there as her guests stood on each side of the chair and captured a few photos.

THANK YOU CARDS: I designed the thank you cards on Vistaprint. I wanted them to match the invitations and birthday cake. They were black and white striped with gold, black, and pink writing. I added a pink flower from clip art and a flamingo on the cards.
