Party Recap
Oliver for his 5th birthday wished to have a robot party - FINALLY ! We had a beautiful day, so even thought we didn't plan that ahead, we moved party to out backyard. I hang up Oliver's birthday banner, one of my first designs for Stitchinnetka http://www.etsy.com/shop/stitchinnetka?ref=si_shop , put flowers and decor on the table. I made lots of lunch type food salads, tarts, bean loaf, lots of fruit and cheese on platters .And of course we had pizza for kids. Everyone had to be well fed for a big project. Fantastic Robot Extravaganza was about using our creative powers to make unique and funky robot creatures. For that reason I was saving boxes from mail packages, plastic containers etc. and any recyclable goods that can be transformed into robots. Once everyone was at the party kids did a little bit of coloring/ painting pages with different robot designs, to get familiar with different types of robots. After that we had a lunch, lots of running around backyard, and robot project. Kids and grown ups alike had a blast coming up with robot designs. Once robots were all ready, we had a robot parade and a robot dance party . Of course, for a big finale there was one big robot cake ! to read more check my blog http://stitchinnetka.blogspot.com/
