Emily is One

For my daughter’s first birthday party, I decided to make an ‘Emily is One’ theme. I absolutely love the combination of rose gold and pink so I made everything in those colours.

I made all the decorations, from the balloon garland featuring shades of pink, rose gold and confetti balloons to the faux hedge backdrop (with a little help from my husband!). A custom made ‘Emily is One’ laser cut wood sign was the centrepiece which hung on the hedge wall.

The party was held at my home and features included a doughnut tower, mini layer cakes, gingerbread, cake pops, mini cone cake pops & frozen yoghurt pops (just to name a few!). I had custom ‘Emily is One’ stickers, cupcake toppers and mini cards made and used these throughout the desert table to further emphasise the theme.

I made Emily’s cake which was a white chocolate mud layer cake topped with fresh peonies, mini meringues and gold leaf.

The party was wonderful success and I’m so happy that Emily will have beautiful photos to look back on to remember her first birthday.
