Party Recap

I wanted to give my baby a 2nd birthday that he would appreciate and remember. He is obsessed with Elmo, so my challenge became doing Elmo in a not typical and cheesy way. Elmofest was celebrated at Kidville in Brentwood, complete with a life sized Elmo that surprised all 90 guests. I chose to work with a color palette of red, orange, and aqua in stead of the typical primary colors. Chevron, polka dot, and striped patterns were shown throughout the party to mix things up. Decorations in each room included Elmo and Cookie sand pails with snacks inside, Elmo lanterns hanging from the ceiling, a goldfish bowl saying "Sawyers World", custom Elmo and Cookie cups, Pinatas for decor on the desert table, and a red carpet with step and repeat. I will never forget the look on Sawyer’s face when he walked into his party!
