We wanted to celebrate our little Ellie’s first birthday with our closest friends and family at one of our favorite restaurants which is an amazing Neapolitan pizzeria with a beautiful courtyard. This spot is very meaningful to my husband and I – it’s where we had our first date, met my parents, and celebrated our engagement. Knowing we wanted to have it there, we thought an Italian lemon theme would be fitting. To make it really feminine and youthful, we stuck to a color palette of yellow and light pink with lots of subtle lemon touches. We even crafted little bottles of limoncello and lemon cookies for favors.

We decorated long tables with greenery draped with lemons along with pink and yellow flowers in vases filled with fresh cut lemons. We added sweet touches of a baby book with pictures and events along with a monthly milestone banner to celebrate Ellie’s first year.

It was a really special day with our nearest and dearest and loves seeing Ellie dig into her cake!
