Selected as Party of the Day on February 26th!
Winter Onederland
ByParty Recap
I wanted to transform the venue into a true Winter Wonderland so we hung lots of glittery snowflakes and blanketed everything we could with faux snow. We also placed decorative trees all over to give it that holiday feel. Since it’s December, I felt a Cocoa Bar was mandatory (even though we live in California and it was 80 degrees:) I found the kraft paper cocoa cups at Lola Loves a Party on Etsy and wrapped them in pale pink ribbon as “sleeves” and finished them off with an adorable sticker made by my favorite designer, Where the Green Grass Grows Designs. The favor boxes were my budget-friendly detail…I found them in the dollar section of Target after Halloween for 70% off! They had black twine so I just replaced it with pink satin ribbon, added a sticker and the scalloped edges gave them such a delicate look. I always like to add some sort of whimsical element to the parties I style which in this case, were the “melted snowmen’, definitely my favorite detail:) Party and Home Design did a fantastic job on the banners and cupcake toppers. The dessert table is always my favorite part of the event to style and I especially enjoyed this one with the tiered shelf we used. As far as the decor, I found most everything at my tried and true trifecta of HomeGoods, Marshalls and TJMaxx. The feather trees, which I absolutely LOVE, were from a local party supply warehouse and eBay. Jenny Wenny Cakes did most of the desserts…the cupcakes were Banana Chocolate Chip with buttercream frosting, she made the beautiful themed sugar cookies with the most intricate snowflakes, raspberry macaroons and the adorable smash cake. The silver snowflake cake pops were made by Simply aMayzing Sweets and not only did they look cute but they were delicious (as usual)! The dessert table was finished off with handmade Madagascar Vanilla Marshmallows with pink glitter snowflakes by Sweet Whips, they were to die for! All of the party details were captured by Grace and Joy Photography. I had so much fun styling this party that I’m a little sad its over…”
