  • Activities / Games

    1) Step 2 Roller Coaster: http://www.amazon.com/Step-Up-Down-Roller-Coaster/dp/B00005KBVD/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407260116&sr=8-1&keywords=Step+2+roller+coaster 2) You Tube Party Music Playlist - this was surprisingly the biggest hit of the party!! All the kids were singing and dancing and having a blast, and I got to take a much needed breather before we started all the main party activities. Best Idea I had by far! Here's our playlist specific to my sons favorite songs but feel free to create your own playlist on you tube! http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLARLktfoptLlMHUB8wSmSDev-mcQq0j4X 3) Dinosaur Egg Hunt - I filled easter eggs with tattoos, plastic dinosaurs, candy, and dinosaur stamps and hide them in my garden. 4) Erupting Volcano - I built a Paper Mache Volcano out of a 2 liter soda bottle and news paper, tissue paper, and paper towels with Elmer's glue, corn starch and water. I did about 4 layers before I did a final coating of wood glue and water to really set and harden it. Then I painted it with acrylic paint and then sprayed it with clear lacquer. For the eruption I filled the volcano about 1/2 to 3/4 full with baking soda (this will last for several eruptions) and then I poured in about 1 cup white vinegar for each individual eruption. When eruptions slow down add more baking soda :-) You can add red dye for more fun but remember vinegar kills grass and red dye will tint your concrete. 5) Dinosaur Egg Smash - The kids got to smash their own paper mache dinosaur egg filled with goodies. Almost all of the kids in attendance were under 5 I made these out of tissue paper and Elmer's glue mixed with water (50/50). But if you're making them for older kids I recommend using streamers as your paper for your mache.
