Party Recap
I decided to go with the theme "Dancing in the Rain" because my daughter is obsessed with everything ballet right now and as a preschooler we definitely experience many storms in this house lately! I was thinking about the quote “Life isn’t about waiting for the storms to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain” a lot and it just seemed perfect! I kept the color palette soft with baby blues, mint, pink and lots of white accents. I also added a lot of ballet touches like the huge ballerina cutout with a 3D tutu made of Baby's breath, cutouts on the glasses and cake. I also cut out dozens of raindrops to scatter around the ballerina as the backdrop. To help the raindrops have a 3D effect I used medical tape to adhere the raindrops and after about 20 minutes the medical tape puffed up and held each of the raindrops slightly off the backdrop and they looked like they really were falling
