While wanting to honor the couple’s cultural heritage, Aparna and Shalindra also wanted to celebrate in a truly modern way as they wove Catholic and Hindu traditions throughout their ceremony and festive Sri Lankan touches in the reception.
From gorgeous Dior chairs and various shades of white, it was a luxurious celebration to remember for both the couple and their 450 wedding guests. Because the bride is a pharmacist and the groom an engineer, they loved being able to infuse geometric design details alongside all of the classic décor such as the centerpieces, furniture, and even the Hindu ceremony setup.
With a subtle travel theme in place, guests’ escort cards were boarding passes, Aparna and Shalindra’s guest book was a travel book, and their card box was a suitcase. It was the perfect way to celebration family and hometowns from all over!
