Party Recap
My son is OBSESSED with chickens. We have 6 backyard chickens and he loves them - so what better way to celebrate him turning 2 than to have a chicken themed birthday party? You know how after the 1st birthday party you promise yourself you aren't gonna have a big party again? Yea - I did it too but then I just get sucked in - I LOVE brain storming and being creative .. I just can't for the life of me just do ice cream and cake and balloons. But I do have rules when planning parties. I do NOT spend a lot of money on decor. For this party I bought $1 table cloths from either dollar tree or Walmart. The chicken banner I printed from Etsy (it was a $1.33 download - can't beat that) and cut out and glued on decorative stock paper also from Hobby Lobby (all on sale). The small banner above the dessert table cost me a whopping $3. The banner and stickers were on clearance at Hobby Lobby. It says "bok bok" which is super weird but I just thought it was cute haha. I bought the poms poms from dollar tree and the candy dispenser (chicken feeder) I paid $4 for at tractor supply. All the mason jars and vintage items I already had in my house. The chicken printables were all free from Pinterest. My sister in law designed his super cute invitations and I printed them through staples for $12. The egg cartons I got on sale at Hobby Lobby for $2.79 and the "2" balloon cost $2.79 with a coupon from Hobby Lobby. The most expensive thing I bought was the 100 pieces of chicken my dad cooked on his cooker in 100 degree weather. Yes he loves me or his grandson a lot!!
