Cherry Pie Picnic Birthday Party
ByParty Recap
For my daughter's 3rd birthday I wanted a party with a sweet, vintage feel. What could be more nostalgic than cherry pie? :) I decided to do a cherry pie picnic with colors in red, turquoise and pink. The dessert table had a pie shop backdrop complete with a shop sign, curtain and ribbons. The desserts featured a pie buffet, pie & cake pops, and lots of cherry treats. We all had a wonderful time!
Party Highlights
-
Desserts
Pie buffet (cherry, apple, blueberry and strawberry rhubarb), pie pops, cake pops, chocolate dipped cherries, berry popcorn, gourmet chocolate cherry marshmallows.
-
Activities / Games
Beanbag toss: we bean bags and colorful yarn pom poms into a vintage picnic basket for prizes.
-
What People Ate
To keep it simple for food we ordered pizza and had fruit, veggies and chips for the side.
-
What People Drank
Juice pounches, bottled water and soda.

Love it! I'm dying to know what fonts you used on the food labels too. They're gorgeous! Thanks, Mandy

Thanks so much everyone! Mandy: thank you! For the food labels the top text is "Lemon Chicken", you should be able to find it free online if you google it. The script is actually a font I purchased through my Silhouette SD cutting machine, they call it "SNF Infinity Bold" - I'm not sure if it might be called something else online, I've noticed Silhouette renames some fonts for use in their program.

Oh - and the script on the little pennant flags in the marshmallows & pies is called "Sweetheart Script" - love that one, it's so cute! :)
