Party Recap
Donuts are one of my favorite party treat of all time! There is just something about a fluffy tower of donuts with frosting and pretty sprinkles piled on top of a cake plate.. Yum! My daughter, Charlie, is totally in love with them too, so I knew a donut bar at her 2nd birthday would make her a very happy girl!
I recently purchased the orange chalkboard at a Hobby Lobby sale and I was dying to use it for another event. I worked the chalkboard sign into the party by choosing a pink and orange color palette.
The donuts were made from the most popular donut shop in RI, Allies Donuts. Their donuts are made fresh every day and people drive from all over the state to enjoy a warm donut from their tiny little shop (I think it's actually a trailer that stays parked in a parking lot in the middle of nowhere). The line is always out the door and around the corner so I had to order them early!
I piled donuts on cake plates, serving platters, apothecary jars.. Really anything that could fit a pile of donuts!
The custom tags by Three Little Monkeys Studio were tied around each jar and favor bags filled with donut holes. I also cut them up into small triangles to make the mini bunting flag that topped a sweet tower of donuts. The custom sign was the focal point of the entire table. I loved it so much that I still have it hanging in Charlie's bedroom!
The cake was the centerpiece and truly tied in the entire theme. It was topped with fondant pink and orange donuts and the inside was a fresh raspberry filling.
The adorable felt crown Charlie is wearing was custom designed by Lori Savage Designs. I got so many compliments on it and it fit her perfectly!

This party is adorable - I like how simple it is (always a plus with little ones). The color combo is awesome and the idea of using Cherrios for "donut seeds" - so cute. Great Job!!
