Celebrating Baby & MOM and at Blessings Brunch
ByParty Recap
A Mothers Blessing is a BEAUTIFUL way to celebrate and honor a mom-to-be as she prepares to welcome a new baby to the family! A sweet alternative to a baby shower. This brunch was held at home which made for a peaceful, relaxed afternoon. You can read all about the party as well as some tips for hosting a Mothers Brunch of your own, on my website www.daydreambelieversdesigns.com
Party Highlights
-
Desserts
A variety of bite-size desserts (cookies, crepes, mini-pies, and tarts) from a local Bakery.
-
Party Favors
Each guest received a small candle and asked that they light the candle when they are informed that I am in labor and that they leave it lit until the baby arrives.
-
Activities / Games
Guests made a birthing bead necklace (read all about how to make a birthing necklace and why they are SO special on my website: http://www.daydreambelieversdesigns.com/2014/01/a-blessings-brunch-for-mother-to-be.html Guests also guessed the baby's birthdate, and created a keepsake puzzle for baby.
-
Best Moment
Sitting together as the ladies made the birthing-bead-neckalce. To listen to my friends and family talking about their own journeys into Motherhood and their experiences (some sweet, some hilarious!) with mothering boys. It is a beautiful reminder of how special these ladies are and how wonderfully blessed I am to have them all in my life.
-
Most Touching Moment
Sharing prayers and well wishes for the baby was so beautiful. The entire afternoon was emotional, peaceful, encouraging, and inspiring.
