Catherine's 4th Mermaid Birthday

My sister and I joined forces to create this whimsical mermaid themed 4th birthday! From our giant balloon mermaid tail to our starfish wands, our guests were immersed into an "under the sea" experience! As luck would have it, our venue (grandmom's house), had a built in pool to serve as our mermaid grotto - complete with mermaid floating tubes for our girl guests and alligator floats for our boys. Our birthday girl was dressed in her mermaid best complimented by her sisters in their matching mermaid style swimsuits!

The theme continued over on our tables where guests were welcomed to feast on mermaid plates with matching napkins and seashell cups filled with "seawater" (blue punch) to wash down the fare! Each place setting had its own starfish wand to grant magical mermaid wishes and either a mermaid headband or hat to incorporate each guest into the theme!
Mermaid tail treat boxes were also left plate side to add a bonus element of fun and surprise!

In addition to enjoying a swim in the mermaid grotto, the kids were able to "save" our mermaid pinata by pulling off the "seaweed" and freeing up the candy!

After singing to the birthday girl, guests were treated to an array of mermaid themed treats. Cupcakes with themed toppers and sugar cookies shaped like shells and tails were sure to entice our little sea creatures! A magical mermaid number 4 cookie cake had everyone lining up for a bite and our birthday cake with custom made topper did not disappoint!

We hope we created a mermaid party that would make anyone come out from "under the sea!"
