Party Recap

BIRTHDAY THEME - Castle in the clouds
The birthday party was for 6 year old Beatrice who absolutely adores fairy tales and super heroes. Her mother, Head of Events at The Lanesborough, Antoinette Lettieri chose to work with with fairy god uncle, international event imagineer and stylist extraordinaire, Tony Marklew, who was responsible for designing and executing the vision to perfection.

The venue was the prestigious The Lanesborough in London, with the grand Belgravia room transformed in to a magical kingdom. The ceiling of the room was festooned with huge cloud like balloons from Bubblegum Balloons. Tony created two huge Magnolia trees that flanked the entrance of the magical kingdom as well as the huge floral centrepieces featuring peach and pink roses and hydrangeas that flanked the dessert table.

The backdrop and focal point of the party was a 12 foot specially commissioned pink castle. In front of this castle, was the most delectable dessert table, featuring cakes, cupcakes, decorated cookies and chocolates all beautifully set off on wonderful crystal and china cake stands. The wonderful 5 tiered birthday cake created by Elizabeth's Cake Emporium was an ornate blue baroque design featuring a handpainted monogram designed by Paul Antonio, topped with a sugar tiara. She also created the two white cloud castle cakes with pastel turrets placed on either side of the main cake as well as the pink and gold cupcakes and mini magnums. The exquisite cookies were by Lisa of Little Fancies, whilst the delectable chocolates were from Cocoa Peony.
In front of the dessert table was a banquet table fit for a modern princess and her friends. The pretty chairs and table was from Little Party Hire and each place setting had a monogrammed pink 'lunch box' on gold handmade place mats. The table ware was from Duchess and Butler and Tony once again created beautiful rose posy table arrangements.
The infinity sofas, side tables and sequinned cushions were from Great Hire and the room was scented with Cire Trudon candles. The little guests were serenaded by the serene and enticing chords of the harp as they entered the party to feast and be entertained. The whole party was beautifully captured by Cat Arwel through her magical lens.
