Party Recap
For my son's 2nd birthday party I went with a Mickey Mouse Pirate theme since he's totally obsessed with Mickey! It was a pool party so the Pirate theme seemed to work and was very fun to do.
The party featured a candy buffet with personalized goody bags, candy apples & Mickey himself!
The kids and adults seemed to really enjoy all of the details & options of entertainment for kids of all ages. Most importantly my son, who loves to swim, had a blast.
Party Highlights
-
What People Ate
Since it was outdoors we grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, Italian sausages & shrimp with a variety of salads (potato, pasta, green).
-
What People Drank
Water, juice, soda & for the adults we had Pirate Punch (white sangria with gummy sharks at the bottom).
-
Desserts
The cake was 2 tiers of red velvet & dulce de leche made by But First Dessert. We also had watermelon & cantaloupe served in the watermelon shell with a pirate ship sail.
-
Party Favors
The kids had personalized goody bags filled with bubbles, Mickey stampers, bouncy balls, finger led lights. As they came in they grabbed swords, eye patches & pirate hats. They also had candy from the candy buffet & piñata.
-
Activities / Games
One table included a pirate treasure chest, full of toys, gold bead necklaces & some candy as well as pirate hats/bandannas, swords & eye patches. I set up a section for the younger children with a kiddie pool, pirate ship water table and bounce house along with a kids table with chalk, crayons and Mickey coloring sheets. They also had hula hoops & blow up pirate beach balls to play with in and around the pool.
