Boho Baby Shower

This was a special baby shower for me as the family are sweet friends of mine. It was held in their beautiful home, Blackwood House, which functions as an AirBnB (https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/20655443)
In keeping with the stylish home, I kept the party decor minimal, with only one dessert table which held the gluten and dairy free cupcakes and a rustic feature cake. The hosts wanted a succulent theme so the cupcakes were decorated with (non dairy) buttercream succulents, while fresh ones complemented the cake. Rustic timber elements featured on the dessert table, with tree slice cake stands and timber boxes used as risers. Fresh gum leaves and greenery from the garden adorned the timber trestle table which I dressed up with gold sequin fabric. The star element of the shower was the boho styled backdrop I made which functioned as a photo booth. I stretched lace curtains and doilies onto embroidery hoops and sewed them together with fishing line. I then sewed more lace curtain strips to the bottom edges to create a stunning backdrop which looked fabulous in front of the black wood.
