Party Recap

I held this teddy bear baby shower for a friend. Her request was to have a blue and lemon themed dessert table and the rest was left up to me.

The aim for the party decor was to be warm, inviting, calming and most of all relaxing.

I used easy to organize decorations which also looked beautiful once set up. To provide the vibrancy of color, a row of tissue paper pom poms were placed above the dessert table. I also scattered miniature tissue paper pom poms over the table tops.

A welcome sign sat on the dessert table which mimicked the invitation and the same theme was used throughout the food tent labels, cupcake toppers and favor thank you tags.

I designed all the printable's for the party

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

It was a dessert fest, consisting of chocolate cupcakes, teddy bear cars, macarons, lemon tarts, lollies and of course the chocolate mud cake.

  • What People Drank

Simple fruit punch served in mini milk bottles.

  • Desserts

The entire table was a dessert!

  • Party Favors

Party favors were small bags of jelly babies tied together with ribbon and a matching themed printable.

  • Activities / Games

Three separate games were played with the guests. 1: Baby scattegories. Guests were asked to think up one baby item from a description given on the scattegory card. Items had to begin with an S and a B (initials of the parents to be). Only unique answers were accepted so guests had to think of different answers to their friends. This added a friendly level of competition! 2: Finish Mummy’s Phrase. This game involved giving the mum to be a list of words prior to the party. She was asked to add the first word that came to her mind when she read the word. For example….”Sleep…deprived”. Guests had to try and guess the exact word that the mummy to be had written down. This was quite funny to hear not only the mummy’s answers, but also answers that people thought she might have said! 3: Memory recall game. This involved providing the guests with plates filled with baby items and allowing them two minutes to remember as many baby items in front of them. They were then given five minutes to try and recall as many items as possible.
