Bernie's Vintage Aeroplane 7oth Birthday Party

When Bernie turned 70, the family celebrated with a sumptuous afternoon tea at Rivers in Yarrambat, Melbourne. Being father two party planning daughters, of course there had to be a theme and decorations! Dad took up flying a number of years ago, and loves old aeroplanes, so that became our inspiration. And because he's a man of many hobbies, we incorporated clip art of all of those - camping, cycling, fiddling with cars.

For dad's birthday present, we hired Stephanie from Silvergum Photography to photograph the guests, and we set up a decorated photobooth in one corner. Guests could write fun messages on a blackboard for their shots. The results will be presented in a beautiful photobook.

And for added fun, there was also a photographic slideshow, a paper plane making competition, and a 'pin the mo on the bro' party game...all trumped by a surprise engagement announcement!
