Party Recap

Instead of stressing over throwing a birthday party to entertain not just tiny 6 year olds but extended family members, imagine my excitement when our child said she wanted to go camping near the beach! Because we have two daughters who are 15 months apart, they were allowed to invite one friend for a total of 4 girls. Financially, reserving a camp spot for 2 nights that provided free entertainment of a water park feel and a location of a 10 minute drive to the beach, I have to say that we came out on top! As you may have noticed from my other parties, I am ALL about fun ideas that look elaborate but are at the cheapest cost. Granted we only had to buy for 4 kids BUT with kids you can buy large snack varieties from places like SAM's Club and sit out a cooler of drinks and they're set! The goody bags may have cost me a little but they were all necessities useful for our theme. Every kid had a towel, eye protection, their own bottles to reuse, AND one less outfit for their parents to pack due to matching shirts. I wish I had taken more pics of the tropical theme decor BUT we were too occupied sun dancing and swimming!

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

    1. Buttercream Icing Cake topped with a tent created from Rice Krispy treats 2. Variety of Glamping themed cookies (camper, stars, mason jar of fireflies, marshmallows on a stick, and tents)

  • What People Drank

Ice chest was placed to the side of the camper so that the kids could grab cold drinks whenever they wanted.

  • Desserts

    Cake and cookies

  • Party Favors

    1. TJ Maxx has amazing selections during this time of year to prepare for beach trips. While there I was able to purchase 4 rainbow double walled water bottles ($6.99 each) and terry cloth towels that fold into back packs for carrying ($8.99 each). 2. I found on Etsy the CUTEST camper "Glamping" themed koozies to personalize. The ones I ordered said, "Berkley's Birthday Weekend 2018," and the order comes in a minimum of 4! I have never received a personalized order in such a timely manner! 3. Sunglasses from Wal-Mart 4. The Children's Place t-shirts that say, "I love my #Camp Besties." If you wait towards the beginning of May, TCP typically begins their amazing graphic tees sale and these costed me only $3.99 each! Totally worth it.

  • Activities / Games

When you go glamping at RV sites, you are blessed with the entertainment being a pool. In our case this campsite had a lazy rive, a deep pool, shallow ankle deep pool/splash pad, three tubed water slides, and did I mention a Tiki Bar for the adults to survive?????
