Party Recap

Benjamin was born on July 5, so we knew the day he was born that his first birthday would be a patriotic, stars and stripes 4th of July celebration! His party was that and more! Red, white, and blue filled our home and we also stuck to the tradition of having classic American BBQ and fireworks to end the night!

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

Guests ate BBQ courtesy of my husband, the grill master. My husband also fried fish, red snapper, for the adults. The BBQ menu included chicken, hot dogs, hot link sausages, hamburgers, and steak. I made side items such as pasta salad, baked beans, deviled eggs, and macaroni and cheese.

  • What People Drank

Adults drank Coca-Cola, Sprite, and Fanta Sodas while kids drank Capri Suns.

  • Desserts

I created a treat bar for guests to enjoy which included chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered Oreos, chocolate covered Rice Krispy Treats, and a variety of red, white and blue candies (Nestle Crunch, blue gum balls, sour straws, Twizzlers, Kisses (Stars and Stripes mix), Skittles (red, white, and blue mix), and Swedish Fish.

  • Party Favors

I provided guests with several options to take home as favors which include: TNT Pop Its and Sparklers, July 4th sunglasses, red, white, and blue leis, glow sticks and bracelets, and July 4th mini bubbles.

  • Activities / Games

Kids had a blast in the pool and sliding up and down the H2Go Waterslide. I also provided them with 200 Bunch O Balloon water balloons and a station to play a game of Vintage Americana bean bag toss.
