Back to School Breakfast Buffet

Creating a back to school breakfast can be a really fun tradition to kick start the year! I created a simple set up for my family with plenty of items right from the pantry and added classroom inspired decorations to make it festive. The breakfast theme revolved around the apple...but a green apple this year! Apple shaped bowls for cereal and covered containers to hold make-your-own yogurt parfaits added to the apple fun! All the food also revolved around the apple in the flavor of the cereal, muffins, and the topping for the parfaits! Some simple DIY projects made from simple school supplies added to the fun! Cute cake toppers made from pencil erasers crowned the apple streusel muffins and a banner from a writing tablet was easy to add classroom details! Post-it notes were the easiest food labels and also added a pop of bright green! A really wonderful way to ease nerves and get good food in bellies for the first day back!
