Party Recap

We all need friends like my client Morissa! When she came to me for help with this baby shower I was so touched that she wanted to make sure it was extra special- and a surprise- for this mama to be! Designed and styled by yours truly, our hostess was no stranger to fab parties at her place- and with some direction and decor ideas we turned her home into a beautiful baby shower venue! With all the restrictions and social distancing continuing into the fall- more people are staying home to celebrate, which we love!

As soon as I posted videos from this event I had people asking about the cute signage- the hostess owned these adorable block + felt letter boards and they seemed like the perfect vibe for our shower- with some balloons they were the perfect touch for our entrance and all of our sign worthy spots! I really wanted to give our new Mama a special gift- and when I spotted this adorable elephant at Target (of course) I had to tie some balloons to her trunk and set her out on display- a whimsical detail for our adorable shower!

One of my fave photographers Ilennis Martinez (@ilennismartinezphotography) came to capture our day, and as always did such a beautiful job! She is always making me look better than I am! Ilennis does everything from weddings to branding + logo design- to family photo sessions! You can actually sign up for a fall session with her right now - by clicking or copy/paste the link below:

and you won’t regret it- most of the photos hanging on my wall at home are from Ilennis, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my precious moments! This baby shower was no exception, when our hostess really wanted to make this day memorable, we hired someone we knew would do a wonderful job- and of course, she did! And now our mama has some beautiful photos to remember this fab day! Scroll though and enjoy this amazing gallery! I love this color palette! If you’ve ever taken a scroll thought my Instagram or Pinterest feed it is no secret that I am a BIG fan of color- and even these pretty pastels brought a ton of soft color to our day- the balloon backdrop wasn’t the first thing guests saw when they arrived but it definitely made a statement! I’m falling more and more in love with balloon walls- not every event needs so many balloon details but for baby showers you really can have fun with them in your design- and still make them look elegant! A pop of yellow gold brought our pastels out to party!

Every brunch baby shower needs a MOMosa bar, right? I’m just jealous that being pregnant myself, the mama and I had to miss out on all the bevs our hostess served! Mimosa bars are easy and chic, and most people won’t turn down fresh fruit and good Champagne- or Prosecco!

When we talked about what to serve our guests I suggested what I would want for A brunch baby shower and that was obviously a bagel bar- and I mean everyone loves a good charcuterie!

Harper Road (@harperroadfloral) designed our baby soirée flowers- a mix of fresh and dried flowers were the perfect pops of pink, we loved the boho vibes of dried floral that’s trending so much right now, and they still felt really girly! We even popped some blooms into our balloons as an extra little detail!
