Desserts
Vanilla and chocolate cupcakes were served that were decorated with oreo cookies and reeces pieces to look like owls. Vanilla cupcakes were also served with pink strawberry shortcake frosting and blue sprinkles. Cupcake toppers were made by a friend. Activities / Games
I filled 100 water balloons, which were destroyed in record time...obviously a hit with the little ones! We had a bubble machine (Toys R Us), parachute (Michaels) and big rubber balls (Target). Our arts and crafts table included a sand art activity (Michaels) and birdhouses to paint and decorate (supplies from Michaels and JoAnns). Our lodge was at a park with a playground and splash pad too!

Party Favors
Party bags were made with some cardstock, foam and scalloped 2 inch punch to resemble owls. Inside the bags was a bird whistle, mini paint and brush set, clay (all from Toys R Us for $1 or less each), a wooden bird to paint (from JoAnn's) and bubbles (from Target).

What People Ate
We grilled hot dogs and hamburgers (it was Memorial Day weekend after all). There was pasta salad, macaroni salad, fruit salad, veggie tray and veggie cups with ranch dressing, buffalo chicken wing dip, etc. For the kids, the packets of goldfish crackers were a hit! Gummy worms tied in nicely with our bird theme.

What People Drank
Kids drank organic juiceboxes in a variety of flavors and organic vanilla milk. Pop, water and lemonade was also available.
