I had the pleasure of creating one of the prettiest children’s party set-ups for an adorable little girl celebrating her 2nd birthday.
Our birthday girl is destined to be a third-generation dancer, behind her older sister, mother and great-grandmother, the latter of each whom danced well into their 20’s and 30’s. So when it came time to pick a theme for this 2nd birthday, a ballerina / tutu concept seemed just perfect! Especially as our birthday girl also received her first ballet tutu, ballet slippers and tights as a special birthday gift – everything she needs to commence ballet lessons later in the year. Naaawwww….. melt! And what could be better than blending the ‘Two’ with ‘Tutu’ to have a ‘Two Tu’ party!
What People Ate
A multi-tiered ballerina birthday cake took pride of place on the dessert buffet in pastel pinks and whites with a pair of ballet slippers standing proudly on top. This was surrounded by pink and white naked mini cakes with fresh flowers on top, cupcakes with custom ballerina toppers, and tutu inspired cake pops. An assortment of lollies, custom ballerina cookies and pink jellies and custard topped with more lollies, (just because the children do so love jelly!) completed our dessert buffet.
What People Drank
A selection of wines together with a fun fruit filled punch for the children.
Strawberry and cream birthday cake, mini naked cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, selection of lollies and pink jelly and custard cups topped with tiny marshmallows and a dusting of dark chocolate shavings.
