Anita and Carol take the States!
ByParty Recap
Happy Trails My Friends! My great friend and colleague asked me to decorate her retirement party. Of course, I jumped at the opportunity. Anita and Carol have worked as Social Workers for the past 35 years, and will be cruising into retirement very soon. Their trip across the United States will begin in the September, just in time to catch the fall colors along the east coast. Some of my party favorites included, the world map backdrop I used for photos, which included a large size RV prop. Her name is "BAM", short for Big ASS Motor Home; a map of the US, tagged at each spot; JENGA memory blocks for guests; the amazing cake by my friend Yvonne that included the road signs (actual roads they will be taking), and a mini Jeep (Carol bought a new Jeep just for their RV!); the green and burgundy carnations beautifully complimented the black globes, vintage books and burlap runners used as centerpieces; and pinwheel banners made out maps, flags, and vintage camera card stock. So much fun!
