Party Recap

My daughter Emma had been planning her party since January of this year, and her birthday is not until July! She was very specific, she wanted an American Girl Doll tea party in Paris, and the colors hot pink, light pink, black and white. The girls were sent passport invitations with an enclosed itenerary and spending money for Emma's Ooh La La Boutique. The girls were asked to bring their favorite doll, their passports. The Passports were "stamped" upon the girls arrival to say they had officially arrived in Paris and it was time for the fun to begin. After they arrived the girls decorated journals, made matching bracelets for themselves and their dolls and dressed up their doll with a new dress (adorable pillowcase dresses sewn for each of the dolls by Emma's Granny) and do their dolls hair in the salon chair and each girl also recieved a cute matching headband for their doll (created by the birthday girl with help from her sister Savannah and cousin Deja'). Once their crafts were done and the dolls were dolled up and ready for tea, it was time for the tea party to begin! At each girls place setting was also a small tea cup and plate mini teapots and a plate of mini pastries (erasers found at target the perfect size) for their dolls. The girls served themselves at a table filled with tea sandwiches and treats. After setting and sipping tea for a while the girls were ready for the photo booth! I think they had a great time doing this! I layed out a blanket and put different dress up items out, they had so much fun getting ready and taking various photos with friends. I will say the little parasol was a favorite prop. They all loved modeling their creative accesories, I have so many cute pictures from this part of the party! After that the girls were ready for some shopping at the Emma's Ooh La La Boutique, (this is where they filled their treat "shopping" bag) followed by 2 games American Girl Bingo, and then Kit's printable game For Two To Do. I had so much fun planning and putting this party on for the girls, and think they had a great time too!
