Amalie's Very Merry Unbirthday

I love homemade decor over store bought. I decided to make colorful lanterns out of foam paper and pom-pom's in Alice's dress color {blue&white} to hang over tables. I was given poker decor hung on fishing wire which I used to hang around the patio area. I did buy a deck of cards and hung them on fishing wire to hang between the pom-pom's. I also made my own painting the roses red bushes out of butcher paper and tissue paper flowers {some white, some red and some mixed red with white to give the painting look} I made a tree out of brown butcher paper where I wanted to hang the Cheshire Cat's smile with fishing wire, but I ran out of time and forgot the smile. There are plenty of other minor decor details I didn't include, but you can take a look at pictures and get a gist of what I made.

• What People Ate

  We had a BBQ style party with carne asada, hamburgers, and hot dogs. Plenty of salad sides from pasta, potato and green salad.

• What People Drank

  Nothing fancy just plain ol sodas, waters and lemonade for kids.

• Desserts

  Simple ambrosia, cake and ice cream.

• Party Favors

  Eat me labeled containers that had sour worms with other yummy candies {that I call sugar bugs}

• Activities / Games

  Croquet was set up on lawn for kids to play once they arrived. I had coloring sheets from the movie for kids to color. We played with a parachute and sang songs. We also played hot beach ball {instead of hot potato} and musical chairs of course.
