Cute party! How did you make the tulle skirt for the table?

  • Laura R

    Laura R wrote:

I started with a pink round plastic tablecloth for the tabletop and then placed an elastic ribbon around the base. I cut strips of pink, purple, and white glittery tulle ribbon and tied each strip to the elastic. After tying each strip, I secured a purple boa around the elastic ribbon!

Can you give a lil instructions for the 4 layer table cloth?

  • Laura R

    Laura R wrote:

For the 4-layer tablecloth, I began with a purple plastic tablecloth on top of the table, taping the sides securely underneath the table. I then wrapped a white plastic tablecloth around the sides, from top to bottom with double-stick tape as my "base" layer (the pink and purple tablecloth strips adhered to this white tablecloth.) I started from the bottom and worked my way to the top, cutting two strips of purple tablecloth and two strips of pink tablecloth. After cutting the strips, I took double-stick tape and placed it on the white tablecloth and placed the first purple tablecloth strip on the tape (slightly pinching/bunching it on the top to get the ruffled effect.) I repeated the steps until the final layer of pink tablecloth; I then used a purple feather boa to hide the double-stick tape at the top. Hope this helps!!!

Hello! I love this and was wondering if you remember where you got the backdrop, and signs for each station/food?

  • Laura R

I purchased the Disney Princess backdrop through Amazon.com and all of the signs for the stations/food I created myself on a Word Document. I'd be happy to pass along through email any of the sign templates!

Love this! I’d like to do something like it for daughter’s party. How did you attach it to the ceiling?

  • Laura R

    Laura R wrote:

I attached the plastic tablecloths to the ceiling by simply using thumbtacks (begin by placing a thumbtack in each corner and the middle of each color; leave a little extra swag and the pin again in three spots where you want your swag to stop, and then swoop/thumbtack again to create the "rolling" effect. Repeat for each color.)
