Party Recap

I loved planning and hosting this birthday party for my third daughter. First birthdays are really special to me; it's not only a celebration of a birthday and a child, but also our family and the love we have for our child. Each of our children is a precious gift and I love celebrating their first year as a part of our family.

Having three daughters, I had a really hard time coming up with a theme until I ran across this "One in a Melon" theme. I knew as soon as I saw the invite on Etsy. I loved all the bright colors and watercolor elements. I especially loved the paper fan backdrop behind my table and bright rag garlands.

My mom has helped me with each of my daughter's birthday parties and this one was no different. She and my dad put together the paper fan display! Way to go Grandma and Grandpa!

Invitation and coordinating items are from ohbejoyfulshop on etsy. Jessica Ann was so helpful and easy to work with and even set up some custom designs for me. https://www.etsy.com/shop/ohbejoyfulshop
Cakes and cupcakes Leslie Eaton of Eaton Cakes
Leslie is a sweet family friend and has done all of my cakes for the past 6 years! She does an amazing job! Her gluten free chocolate cupcakes are especially awesome.

All other décor was purchased locally, mostly from Hobby Lobby.

Erica- I made it using a Pinterest tutorial I think. Basically just fabric scraps tied to a wire wreath form. Good luck!
