Party Recap

My daughter, Sydney, believes unicorns are just as real as any other animal. She has been a dreamer and a lover of all things magical from day one. When her 7th birthday was coming up, she didn't hesitate to choose a unicorn party. We held it in the rolling hills of our backyard with a dozen of her little girl friends. I love DIY decor, crafts, and activities. :) I collected vintage ceramic and brass unicorn figurines on ebay to use as decor, used tissue paper flowers, crepe paper and balloons throughout the yard, and painted signs for the booths. I made sparkly unicorn "horn" hats for each girl to wear when they arrived, there were a handful of magical booths of activities ("Fairy Faces" face painting, "Rainbow Dust" sand art, "Unicorn Horn Toss", and "Magic Mist" water spray), and a food table of all kinds of enchanted treats. At the end, each girl got to ride their own unicorn stick-horse that I had made as they chased a wild unicorn that suddenly ran wild through the hills (you know you have a good hubby when he dresses up as a unicorn and lets a dozen little girls chase him around the yard). :)
