Party Recap
"Let the warmth of friendship take a chill from the air, and the spirit of togetherness make winter easier to bear". What a lovely warm dinner party to celebrate my birthday and say goodbye to winter. We don't really have snow in South Africa around winter time, so we had to improvise a little. I tried to keep everything "white" with a touch of snow here and there. We setup a lovely marquee in our yard.
Highlights of the Party and Decor:
-We setup a lovely Hot Chocolate Bar to keep our guests warm.
-We created paper icicles and my husband added to lights to them to create something magical.
-We used cotton balls to create snow-like flakes
-We also made paper snowflakes used as decor in the marquee.
-We took an old tree and sprayed it white
-Decorated pine-cones with snow-spray.
- Used organza as draping for the marquee and lots of candles to create a warm effect
We also provides warm blankets for our guests with a nice fire going.
We did all the decor ourselves using everyday things in and around the house. We love to recycle! No breaking-your-budget here! Guests were quite impressed with the decor and the food was divine too! This was so much fun to plan and execute! Hope you all like it too!
