Party Recap

On a rooftop above San Antonio's iconic Riverwalk in early November, a long awaited wedding took place. Liz and Daniel's engagement spanned several years, but when some family members experienced health scares they decided there is no better time than now to celebrate their family with wedding vows.

Step one was finding the dress and after trying on 3 or 4, Liz found her dress and her theme. She stepped out of the dressing room beaming with a full princess style gown with sashes on the sides that reminded her of her favorite Disney fairytale, Beauty and the Beast and Belle's yellow ball gown.

Not wanting the typical yellow and blue Beauty and the Beast color scheme, Liz opted to highlight the rose, the true star of the fairytale. The invitations featured a simple rose and a simple message, "Be Our Guest". Roses were used for the bouquets, centerpieces, petals sprinkled down the aisle and of course the special rose under the glass dome. That rose stood in a bed of moss surrounded by twinkling lights and was center stage for the ceremony and then placed next to the cake for the reception. The menus were die cut card stock hand mirrors designed to match the theme.

The sign in table featured a tea pot, tea cup, mirror, books and a mantle clock, all the Beauty and the Beast characters. Moss was spread across the table and led lights were placed underneath it to bring out the enchanted forest feel. Clocks, tea cups and books were placed along the dessert and gift table as well.

The tables featured large candelabras topped with roses and smaller vases with roses and a teapot table number. And since Belle loved to read, each table had a stack of vintage books with a tea cup on top and a candle placed on moss inside.

It was truly a timeless wedding for this beautiful couple.
