A Simple Halloween Party for My Favorite Boos and Ghouls
ByParty Recap
Every year, I host a simple Halloween party for my kids and their friends. I delegate the food to my girlfriends, always giving them ideas that are easy and quick to put together if they need it, and choose activities that will keep kid's attention but also be fun and hands on. I try to choose decor that my kid's can help DIY, but that I also want to enjoy throughout the season. This party a super fun tradition that I look forward to each year!
Party Highlights
-
What People Ate
Jack-o-lantern quesadillas, jack-o-lantern mac and cheese cups, bbq bat (chicken) wings, sandwiches cut in the shapes of pumpkins and ghosts, and apples and pumpkin yogurt dip
-
What People Drank
Mamas drank caramel apple sangria and kiddos drank juice boxes wrapped in white streamers like a mummy
-
Desserts
Ghost brownies, witch topped cupcakes, and Halloween sprinkle bundt cake
-
Party Favors
Their slime monster in a jar that doubled as an activity and the treats they got from the ghost punchboard
-
Activities / Games
I had a slime monster station set up- kids made their own slime and decorated the jar like a monster with washi tape, googly eyes, stickers, etc. I also made a ghost themed punch board that kids could go up and punch out to grab a trick or treat!
