A Minnie Extravaganza

My wife and I wanted to celebrate our baby girl's first birthday in a special way. Zara Rose turned 1 years old on September 28, 2016. We hosted a party in our home on October 1, 2016 to celebrate her. The theme was "Minnieland Extravaganza." We transformed our living room and dining room to create a magical atmosphere.

The central colors were pink and gold. We ordered a three tier Minnie Mouse cake, Minnie cookies, and Minnie cupcakes. We also purchased candy for the table (Twix, Strawberry Sour Balls, Air Heads, Gummy Watermelon Candy, and Nerds). My wife baked and designed cake pops and chocolate covered pretzels.

As for decorations, I blew up about 40 balloons and hung them from our trace ceiling to create a magical feel. I also handmade the gold, pink and white tulle skirt for the sweets table. My wife made the HAPPY BIRTHDAY banner.
