A Baby Shower for Daisie

Our Baby Daisie is due next month, this is the Shower my husband & I hosted. Yes, we had our own because this is baby #4 and wanted to celebrate and not burden anyone with having one for us. It was a great time, fun games, great lunchtime foods & perfect Southern California Weather - a cool 75 degrees! :D Beautiful day! We are so fortunate to have such wonderful Friends & Family <3

• Desserts

  Cherry, Lemon & Butter cream frosted cupcakes with Daisy fondant cutouts, Jumbo (fist-sized) Marshmallows dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with pink sugar, heart shaped palmiers, yellow white & milk chocolate dipped strawberries with pink sugar [sugar sugar & more sugar], goldfish, frosted pink & white animal cookies, green grapes and applesauce squeezable pouches for kids.

• Activities / Games

  *SPIT THE PACIFIER GAME* Who spits the pacifier furthest, perfect game for the macho men (men only)! *WHAT'S IN THE BAG? GAME* 8 paper bags, sealed and numbered. Guests number their paper & write their guesses. Inside the bags, I had 1. Qtip 2. baby mittens 3. bib 4. pregnancy test 5. digital thermometer 6. trial size baby lotion 7. trial size baby oil 8. pacifier. the pregnancy test was the tough one! :D *GUESS THE BELLY SIZE GAME* pass the ribbon around and tell everyone, "guess the belly size" and they all automatically think it's for MY belly but it was for Daddy's belly. SOOO funny! *WHAT'S IN THE JAR? GAME* a large jar full of baby items, daddy walks around and lets everyone get a look and then they have to remember & write down what they saw.

• Budget

  unknown, somewhere between 0-500. Since i made pretty much every thing by hand, including food, favors, decorations, Party rentals (tables & chairs), prizes, champagne, beer.

• Party Favors

  Diaper shaped paper napkins with a fortune cookie & a chocolate mint inside, tag read, "Thank you for sharing this moMINT with us, we are so FORTUNate" - Susie & Carlos... as well as all of the handmade daisy pens & vase centerpieces.

• Best Moment

  Watching all the women AND MEN line up to wrap their arms around daddy to measure their ribbons.

• What People Ate

  turkey cheese & cucumber croissants, broccoli salad, pasta salad, veggies (cucumber sticks, yellow bell peppers, celery and carrots) with dip, chips, stuffed green olives,

• What People Drank

  Mimosas for women, Beer for men, fresh made watermelon juice/water (non-alcoholic) I made for pink color :) and of course, juice pouches for kids, sodas and water bottles

• Funniest Moment

  All the macho men with the pacifiers in their mouths! Priceless!! Wish I had more pictures!

• Best Dressed

  Lillie! Cutest & Best helper of gift opening :)

  My 4 year old Daughter, Lillie - showing off the Pillow Pet she got for her baby sister (on the way) <3
