Cinnamon Apple Raisin Bread Pudding Recipe

This bread pudding is so warm and moist. It's like biting into a fluffy, sweet, cloud of apples, raisins, and cinnamon. Plus, I topped it with a drizzle of Nutella just to give it a slight hint of chocolate. So scrumptious!

Ingredients

  • 5 cups bread cubed
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted (1/2 stick)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 large apple peeled and chopped
  • ½ cup raisins

Instructions

  • Prepare your bread by cutting it into 1 inch cubes. If the bread isn't stale, you can put the cubes on a cookie sheet in the oven, set to the lowest temperature (our is 175F), for about 15 minutes, until they feel firm to the touch.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the eggs and beat them just until the yolks and whites are combined. Add the milk, melted butter, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix by hand until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the bread crumbs. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to let the bread crumbs have absorb the liquid.
  • Preheat the oven to 325F.
  • Stir in the raisins, and one apple, chopped into 1/4" cubes. Pour into a greased 8x8" pan. Cook for about 40 minutes.
