I did this Merry Christmas banner very traditional. I used 4x4 inch white chipboard. I antiqued the edges with black ink. I used red and green card stock and permanently attached the letters to the chipboard pieces. I used twine to strung it and added red and green bows to each end. I love the traditional/vintage colors and the total look of this banner. It's not too much so that it will work with many different styles of decor.
