What kind of pole did you use and how did you get the balloons to hold to it

It is an acrylic rod. It is 24" long and 1/4" diameter purchased on ebay from seller plasticguy14. They have different lengths and diameters. The bears were kept in place by wrapping the arms around the rod and using a safety pin to pin the inside of the paws together.
