Party Recap
Zidan has been obsessed with airplanes for the last year. His favorite YouTube videos are the plane-spotting ones that are hours and hours of airplanes landing and taking off. His birthday theme was a no-brainer.
When kids arrived, they had to find their passport which had all of their details customized with their photo. They then had to receive four steps related to four activities during the course of the party: 'Photo-booth', decorate a plane, pin the propeller on the plane and airplane race with their decorated airplanes. These kept the kids busy, who ranged in age from 2-10.
The decor was all red, sky blue and navy, with the ceiling that mimicked the sky with puffy tissue clouds and red and blue airplanes flying around. The focus was our fireplace which served as a photo-booth with a vintage airplane to capture pictures of all of our guests.
There was typical airport/airplane signage throughout the house to make you feel as if you were on an airplane. Food was served in compartmentalized trays with silverware wrapped up in napkins similar to an airplane.
Although we had an indoor runway for the airplane race, the weather was on our side, so this was moved outside cause everything is more fun in the sun.
It was a blast and the key was keeping the kids engaged, despite the large age range, so parents could also relax. The sun helped too!!!
