Tropical Dessert Bar

This was a crafting event I held at Opal 28 in Portland, Oregon. Attendees painted trinket dishes and were treated to a tropical evening. The dessert bar overflowed with tropical treats, a photo booth station was set up and outside on the party was flamingo ring toss and chalk painting.

• What People Ate

  A variety of tropical and colorful desserts were served. Pineapple shooters, key lime bars, toasted marshmallow cupcakes, pinapple shaped strawberry macarons, coconut and raspberry popcorn, tropical Jelly Belly jelly beans, strawberry meringue dipped in chocolate, candy kabobs, tropical flavored licorice and tropical gummy candies.

• What People Drank

  The venue had a full service bar so people drank whatever they wanted.

• Desserts

  A variety of tropical and colorful desserts were served. Pineapple shooters, key lime bars, toasted marshmallow cupcakes, pinapple shaped strawberry macarons, coconut and raspberry popcorn, tropical Jelly Belly jelly beans, strawberry meringue dipped in chocolate, candy kabobs, tropical flavored licorice and tropical gummy candies.

• Party Favors

  The attendees went home with a swag bag full of crafting fun. Stencils, paints, Mod Podge, and little bags of popcorn.

  We all painted little trinket dishes.

  Hospitality

  Portland Party Host Helpers was great to have at this event. It allowed me to concentrate on the crafting and attendees. They cleaned up, made sure people could concentrate on the fun and not worrying about cleaning up their plates, they refreshed drinks and helped restock the dessert bar.
