Party Recap

Birthday girl Stella loves Goosebumps. This was the perfect opportunity to take our creativity to the next level. Being a fan of the Goosebumps books, I was so excited to create a one of kind party for her.

We started with her favorite charter.... Slappy. We recreated her favorite book with the night of horror as an invitation custom made by Party Designs by Jax. We always love creating DIY projects as a gift for the guest of honor, and it was no different with Stella.

I found a dummy on Ebay and thought how cool would it be to make her a 3D book of Slappy. How hard can that be? We took a few foam core and poster board for the book frame. Added Slappy through a hole we create to hold him in... Added some makeup and a boys tux and The Night of Living Dummy came to life.

As for decor, we wanted the home to feel like a creepy mansion that has been left alone for some time. We took white table linens to cover the coaches and chairs, lots of spider webs and a few fun DIY projects such as ghosts, skeleton bones in spider webs and lots of jars with baby doll head, bloody fingers etc. These were a lot of fun to make.

Lastly we wanted to food to match the theme. With some research on Pinterest we found a fun creepy dead man buffet. How perfect! As for the birthday cake we went with multi-color cupcakes and added DIY Goosebumps book jackets at the cupcake toppers.

All in all this party was fun, creepy and perfect for Halloween too.
