Party Recap

My daughter had an amazing Winter Wonderland Sweet 16. She wanted her décor to have a cold icy feel. She asked all her guests to wear white, she wanted them to be her snowflakes and she wore blue (the only one in the room). She asked that her immediate family and her Court wear silver. The gorgeous cake was made by my sisiter-in-law aka Swirly Cakery, which I am so grateful for her incredible talent. The décor - my husband and I, with the help of my family and friends transformed her party into a Winter Wonderland. It was such a beautiful event.

Party Highlights

  • What People Drank

For the teens we had mocktinis.

  • Desserts

For dessert my sister-in-law made an amazing cake, we had the chocolate fountain with fruits and yummy dippers and the candy station.

  • Party Favors

The party favors were the photo booth pictures and the candy table.

Party Helpers

  • Swirly Cakery

Cake designer - Baker and Cake Decorator

This winter wonderland cake was made by my talented sister-in-law Susana Bonet. Not only are her cakes gorgeous, they are delicious too. Susana works out of her home in Bronx, NY. She makes cakes, cupcakes, cake pops and cookies. Once given the theme, she will go above and beyond.

  • Valentina Volkov - Decorator at Florist Next Door

    Florist

The very talented Valentina Volkov is located in Brooklyn, NY. In short notice, Valentina made these gorgeous floral arrangements for my daughter's sweet 16. She definitely captured the icy feel my daughter and I were looking for.

  • All Designs that Shine

    Cake topper

Beautiful Swarovski Crystal cake topper. I requested the crystals to be placed on the front and the sides of the topper. My daughter will cherish this forever.

  • Name with Flame

    Candelabra

This incredible candelabra is a beautiful addition to any Sweet 16 or Quinceanera! Taylor's name was in Turquoise with a rhinestone ribbon around the silver base. Definitely added to the "bling" look of her party.

  • Elegancia Entertainment

    DJ/Photo Booth

If you want a party, Eleganica Entertainment is the DJ to contact. Jose, the owner of Elegancia, is not only a vendor but also a dear friend. My husband and I have hired Elegancia for our wedding, we use them for corporate events and now for our daughter's Sweet 16. They provided the photo booth and props which we used as our favors. There are so many more add-ons that Elegancia can be a one-stop shop. You name it they have it. But more importantly, the music is out of this world! Every type of music......they have it! Since our family is a mixture of cultures, it was hard to find the right DJ. Elegancia is the right DJ!

  • Daphne Youree

    Photographer

I wouldn't have these amazing pictures without my photographer Daphne. She captured every moment of the day. She has a great eye for detail, as you can see from the pictures attached. Pictures make a memory last for a lifetime.

Hello Carrie M. Taylor's think alike...LOL Thank you! It was so much fun to plan everything for her S16. We did not have a party planner. My husband and I did it ourselves, with the help of some very talented family members. The Candle holder is from NameWithFlame on Etsy. Lucking the same day as Taylor's party the previous party was also a winter wonderland themed party and I was able to borrow the pillars from them. Good luck I hope this is helpful!

My daughter and I contemplated selling her dress after you asked, we had intended on keeping it. That I'm still not sure of. I'm would be more than happy to help you all I can. When is your daughter's S16? Thanks, Marcia

Hi, I know your daughters party was a while ago but can you tell me where you purchased the hanging snow flakes for the centerpieces.

    Marcia C wrote:

Hi @LisaS I purchased them at Pier 1 and at Macys. The lighter snowflakes are from Macys and the silver and crystal ones were from Pier 1. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any like these...maybe on ebay. Good luck!
