Sweet & Shabby Cowgirl Birthday Party
ByParty Recap
For this sweet & shabby cowgirl 1st birthday party, our goal was to keep our decor sweet and girly. Decor included a lace, ruffles, hay, lights, hanging frames, a ton of burlap, and about a million bunches of babies breath in blue bottles and mason jars. We also had a few big statement pieces including a "Saloon" window sign and a massive rope sign with the birthday girl's name. I designed custom printables to use as food labels, cupcake toppers, and banners.
The casual and easy sandwich bar dinner was a huge hit with the adults, and the kids loved their individually bottled pink and chocolate milk. The dessert table featured beautiful cupcake and custom cookies made by Cookies Gone Glam, as well as extremely delicious individual cherry cheesecakes and a strawberry shortcake cake made by the birthday girl’s grandma.
Activities included some rather amazing cowboy and cowgirl photo props made by Dad and a pretty awesome scavenger hunt where the kids had to run to various parts of “town” (like the jail, which was actually the dog run) to collect all the clues needed to catch the bad buy. They did this while wearing their vest and bandana favors and gathered additional favor items along the way.
