Surprise Dessert Table

I designed this dessert table for my mom’s birthday this month. She has always been a huge fan of Disney’s Cinderella. So I wanted to make her inner princess child happy by creating this birthday surprise.

My husband and I arrived at their house to “watch football.” Once there, we sent her to her room for 15-20 minutes so we could literally “unfold” this party.

My dad brought her into the kitchen with her eyes covered and placed her in front of the table. When she opened her eyes, her first words “OH MY GOSH, LINDA!!” She loved it.

The cake was carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, and seriously was the best carrot cake I’ve ever had. Kudos to my dear friend, Angela, at The Cupcake Brewer. She is a new vendor herself, and I was thrilled to be able to incorporate her into this special day.
